Natural History Museum x Dunelm
A work of art in its own right, the ceiling of Hintze Hall in the Natural History Museum contains 162 decorated panels that were hand illustrated and date back to when the Museum first opened to the public in 1881. Each panel depicts a different botanical illustration, featuring a mixture of native plants and more exotic species. From garden ornamentals such as rhododendrons, irises and sunflowers to fruit trees such as lemon, pears or cherries, the ceiling showcases the abundance of plants on Earth. A series of flowers depicted on these panels provided the inspiration for the meadow design.
Please Note: Each sample is A4 sized.
